In the picture we see a business man stand on the top of all the things he had bought to be happy, but it didn't work. The things is a house, television, car, camera, alcohol, visa card, phone, bike, watch, shaver. It is things we all want, and some people already have it. The picture is black and white, because it is conspicious consumtion, and it does not make him happy.

    1. there is a man who is standing ontop of a mountan luxery goods(ex. car, watch, licqur, tv, house, bike, exercising bike, shaver, VISA, shoes, cell phone, sterio, and so on). and there is a thinking bobble, where is say "Shit i'm still not happy", and he looks sad and lifeless. and he has his hands in his pockets and he looks bored. it's black and white, it's a drawing/comic. it's a mess.

    2. His american dream could be that he would like to earn many money and use them on Luxery goods and to show which public status that he wants to have. But he realised that he is still not happy with all the things that he bought.
His might have thought that the american dream is about earning alot of money and get a lot of expencive stuff!
conspicuos consumption can be combined with the picture by that he would like to signalise a curtain lifestyle, and social status by buying these things and byt showing that he has money and he "rules" the world with the money that he has.

We connect the picture with the American Dream because it say a lot about conspicuous consumption, and he think he will be free and happy when he buy all the stuff.
